Having residence in Florida for many a year I am very familiar with those pretty little snakes. If they manage to gnaw on your foot for a few seconds your day and possibly week will take a turn for the worse. Quite the poisonous worms they are. Reminds me of the time............................oh hell, thats a boring story. God bless Texas. How's GW doing, we don't hear much about him over here in the land of roasted chille peppers.

Chile Season!!!! The scents of roasting chiles and a pinon wood fire (not necessarily at the same time) evoke such strong memories of NM. There are times I really miss the Land of Enchantment... just not the summers.

Coral snakes... no, no, no. Scorpions and mosquitoes are quite enough to deal with thankyouveddymuch.

Most of the time I really like the place. The pace here is ever so slow. I am sure that living up on this mountain away from the clamor and chatter breathing the finest of unpolluted oxygen offers a better life. All the many animals and plants seem to think so, they say there is no other way to see it. I will follow their lead. Human beings seem to pursue every destructive path available. I will not follow them.

Got plenty of them too. This is the land of plenty. Plenty of reasons to move...

Western Colorado is nice... we do have some of the aforementioned creepy crawly things but not to a significant degree (do not have to shake my shoes out before putting them on). We do however, have a number of folks of the ignorant variety, but it's that way all over, eh?

I'm certain your mountain side adobe abode and the quality of the air, although thin, are blessings to all of you... human and critter.
